As each of the books tells us their story it adds to the dimensions of the characters and the world they live in. The team is becoming closer, the relationships within the team are becoming more defined and the emotions are running higher.
Everyone is going through debriefing from the mission in book two, the problem is that everyone came out of the debriefing but Markus and B. Markus being able to take on a 3rd form has caught the attention of certain unsavory characters in the Company. I know Markus and B are tough but the way that Brenda wrote the confinement scenes were so good that I was emotionally drained on the behalf of Markus and B. Damn you Brenda.
As the team works to extract their team members we get to see them in a full military mindset. Brenda really knows how to write an action scene and keep the reader sitting on the edge of their seat. It also helped that when she is writing she is adding different secondary characters and elements to the story that keeps it fresh.
This a definite 5 star for me, the book was entertaining, emotional and well executed. I can’t wait to read the final book in the series, R&R. I have a feeling there won’t be much rest and relaxation and someone’s ass still needs to be attended to.

I would like to first thank the author for allow me to be a beta reader for this book. I absolutely love the Mad Dogs series.
Here is what I felt about the book.
Characters 4
As each book progresses we learn more about the Mad Dogs and how they function, not only as a unit, but as individuals and as couples. Watching the layers around Brian being peeled aways as more of his personality, emotions and beliefs emerge has been a rewarding experience so far and one I want to continue to enjoy throughout however many more books Mrs. Cothern decides to put in this series.
Plot 4
I hate to use a cliche here but the "plot thickens" in this book. We finally get to see and learn more about the two main powerhouses in the supernatural community as some of their motives get revealed and it does not all look like roses for the Mad Dogs.
Flow 4
Cothern's flow is good as always and there is not much more I can say that I have not already said before about it.
Believability 4
This is always a big one for me and one that Cothern does effortlessly. The moment that this fails (which I doubt she ever will) shall be the moment I stop reading this series.
Sexual Tension 5
This was taken up another level and I liked it but I did have a couple of times when it drove me bonkers. I mean, I feel like we have been stuck in one long foreplay moment and I would like something to finally give.
Romance 3
Because of the nature of the storyline and what was actually happening in this book, there was not as much "romance" as the first two but the romantic love between Brian and Markus is still going strong.

Book 3 sees the Mad Dogs on yet anther mission. The his time the objective is to save two of their own. We see B and M utilise their bond to get through the torture during their captivity and to keep each other strong. We see the remaining Mad Dogs work hard to find and rescue their missing mates. Duke comes back to play a crucial role in this book. We learn more about him and the Watchers as well the Mad Dogs themselves.
The book flows well and Brenda manages to move the book into a more plot driven book, less romance but this works. You can't have a sunshine and flowers book when two of your characters are being tortured. The book answers some questions and leaves you with more!
I can't wait for book 4, to see what happens with the boys and Duke. They are many unanswered questions and I look forward to learning the answers!
This series just keeps getting better and better. Love the interaction between the guys and their ever expanding team cohesiveness.
Don't mess with the big dogs cause your gonna get bit and I can't wait to find out if a certain person gets mauled.
This book continued a great series. Once again, I was impressed with the world of the Mad Dogs. The editing was better in this book than the previous two. I'm looking forward to reading the next book.
This series keeps getting better and better with each book. M and B got kidnapped by a council member and she found out some information by watching them but the team with the help of the watcher found them and they were rescued. I can not wait for the next book in this series. Erin
Character development is huge for me in books. And Brenda gives us that in spades. I love learning more about the Mad Dogs as this series progresses. Individually and as a unit, you will love all these boys!
Extraction is my favorite of the series so far!
I have read the 1st three books in this series twice now. I am beyond excited for book 4 to be released. I just can't get enough!
If you are a fan of Paranormal, M/M werewolf shifter books, you really need to check this series out. You won't be disappointed!
